The Retreat includes:

Elegant House Location

The house was completely redecorated in May 2007, and all 7 bedrooms were decorated using natural materials. Every room has plenty of character and all have views over either the Sussex Weald or Downs. The garden has many mature trees, you could sling one of the many hammocks and relax to the sound of birdsong.

Tennis

For the more energetic there is a tennis court hidden behind a row of ash trees. The firepit in a woodland clearing provides the perfect setting for spinning yarns and stargazing as night closes in. It's known that Lydia Lopokova the Russian Ballerina was inspired to dance on the lawns under the moonlight.

Beautiful bedrooms

Elegant and comfortable bedrooms all with great views of the Sussex Weald or South Downs. Open fires. Library/ sitting rooms full of inspiring books and dreamy views. Glorious walks from Tilton House up and across the South Downs with inspiring sea views. A five minute stroll to Charleston Farmhouse, home of the Bloomsbury set.

All levels welcome

Each guest will have the opportunity to practice at their own level, making this week suitable for students of all levels, abilities and previous injuries.

How to get there

Trains from London Victoria to Berwick or Lewes run every hour and take 1 hour 30 minutes. Tilton House is just off the A27, and a car journey from Central London is 1hr 45minutes.

What to expect:

Ultimately, the purpose of this weekend is to retreat from your hectic schedule, take some time out and switch off your mind.

Once the body slows down, it can then start to heal any imbalances; be that an overactive mind or an overstimulated nervous sytem.

Practicing Yoga every day allows you to form a great connection between your mind and body.

Natasha will encourage you to listen to your body and only do as much as you can.

Home-grown and nutritious food

Tilton House has a kitchen garden and aims to use as much home-grown, fresh seasonal produce as possible in their menus.

All meals will be vegetarian and super delicious prepared by their on-site chef.  We will rehydrate with water from a spring on the Downs.  Any dietary requirements can be accommodated.

The retreat will include six chef-cooked meals over this 48h period. Infinite supply of tea, coffee, fruit and snacks for anything in between meals.

Yoga Classes

During this weekend, there will be a total of 7 Yoga classes taking place in the beautiful 26ft Yurt.

In between classes and meals, enjoy optional treatments or explore the five acres of Sussex countryside allowing you to do as much or as little as you please.

Flow Yoga

The morning session will provide an opportunity to develop and hone your Yoga practice and explore active Yoga postures in more depth.

Natasha teaches intuitively to each group she works with and a unique experience is created within each class.

Yin Yoga

The afternoon Yoga class will include the full range of Yin Yoga postures.  The passive and long held Yin poses induce deep relaxation in the muscles and release tension in the fascia.

Relaxation

Natasha is a big advocate for the healing benefits of relaxation and meditation and it's power to release deep rooted tension and open up new possibilities.

Natasha will introduce you to ancient Eastern philosophy and why moving towards stillness is so important.

Yoga Sleep

The weekend will also include Yoga Nidra (Yoga Sleep) to aid complete relaxation and restoration.  In Natasha's Yoga Sleep Method sessions, the layers of tension will melt away completely and you will tap into a state of consciousness between waking and sleep that promotes your body's natural healing powers.
