Shoulder Therapy: Yoga For Tight Shoulders

My shoulders get rather tight and I have found these movements the most effective at opening the shoulder girdle and joint.

I am constantly asked by students, "What Yoga poses can I do to open the shoulders?"

So I have created the above video practice for you to do at home. You are going to love it and potentially hate it, all at the same time!

The sequence is 35 minutes long and consists of six effective poses to hold for a longer period of time to open tight and problematic shoulders and includes an amazingly effective stretch to open the sides of the neck.

For the best results use this video every day for one week and track your progress in opening the shoulders and neck.

When we work deep into the fascia of the body with longer holds and learn to relax into Yoga postures, we open up the body to achieve more advanced postures in dynamic Yoga sequences such as Wheel Pose (Urdhva Dhanurasana) and Forearm Balance (Pincha Mayurasana).

These moves will work deep into areas that need your breath and love the most, so stay present and direct your breath into the exact place that you feel the stretch and the most sensation. Imagine that with every breath, you can massage your shoulders.

Click the video above now and enjoy freeing your shoulders!
